Matthew 27:1 When morning came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.
Matthew 27:2 And they bound him and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate the governor.
Matthew 27:11 Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus said, "You have said so."
Matthew 27:12 But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer.
Matthew 27:13 Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?"
Matthew 27:14 But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
Mark 15:1 And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole Council. And they bound Jesus and led him away and delivered him over to Pilate.
Mark 15:2 And Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" And he answered him, "You have said so."
Mark 15:3 And the chief priests accused him of many things.
Mark 15:4 And Pilate again asked him, "Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you."
Mark 15:5 But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.
Luke 22:66 When day came, the assembly of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes. And they led him away to their council, and they said,
John 18:28 Then they led Jesus from the house of Caiaphas to the governor's headquarters. It was early morning. They themselves did not enter the governor's headquarters, so that they would not be defiled, but could eat the Passover.
John 18:29 So Pilate went outside to them and said, "What accusation do you bring against this man?"
John 18:30 They answered him, "If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him over to you."
John 18:31 Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law." The Jews said to him, "It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death."
John 18:32 This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to show by what kind of death he was going to die.
John 18:33 So Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, "Are you the King of the Jews?"
John 18:34 Jesus answered, "Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?"
John 18:35 Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done?"
John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world."
John 18:37 Then Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."
John 18:38 Pilate said to him, "What is truth?"After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, "I find no guilt in him.
